My wife and I occupied Mr. Terzi's Monarca Marquis 5th floor apartment for 5 weeks in Jan-Feb., 2017. The Wow Factor is the view, with the living room and all three bedrooms facing it, with a long and wide balcony overlooking the palm tree tops, the lawns, gardens, swimming pool, the islands, the horizon (including nightly sunsets), and of course, the incredible wide sandy beach. We are still amazed at the beauty. And the winter weather ... 85ºF and sunny ... every single day. The ocean water was the right temperature too, for dipping, diving, and body surfing (be careful of the big waves, however). The 2-3 mile beach is perfect for long walks. Back to the weather ... we never used the A/C. Our balcony sliders were open the entire time, all night long, and the ceiling fans got lots of use. We came here for summer weather, and got it. We saw about 5 mesquitos, hardly another bug. A cute little chameleon on the balcony was on-guard too.
As for the condo, it was prettier than pictured. The furnishings and art work are attractive and in good condition. The balcony furnishings are perfect, and comfortable. The three bedrooms feature two with kings and one with twins. All have private bath and firm mattresses. We used the stacked washer/dryer frequently and found it adequate. The kitchen had all we needed. Our blender got used lots, the tequila and mezcal are very inexpensive there!
Transportation is abundant. So many little white taxi's, and great bus service, all cheap. We used the bus in daylight and taxi's after dark. We walked to town frequently with the sunset as our trigger. The early evening light along the nicely lit boulevard was safe and pleasant. Restaurants are everywhere, and we thought the on-site breakfast-lunch Pavilion was super ... cold Corona for $1.25! Right? Yes.
Mr. Terzi was very nice to work with. We found him gracious, honest, pleasant, and helpful. The staff are wonderful ... we hired Marina and Rosa for weekly housekeeping at $20 a visit. The included beach/pool lounges have the most wonderful view ... sitting there daily, enjoying other residents company, reading countless books and frequently laspsing into counting waves, we did a good job of guarding paradise until you get there. Keep your eye on it for us. We're planning our next trip now.
