Great deal! Clean, convenient, all the ammenities!

          5 of 5
My husband and I spent a few nights at this wonderful rental. We live in a one bedroom apartment in NYC, so we felt right at home! This is a very clean, comfortable rental with all the ammenities you will need including TV with every possible cable channel. We thought it was the ideal location for the Cape. Wellfleet has several beaches and some are beautiful ponds that are great for swimming. You can get a 3 or 5 day beach pass if you get verification of your stay from Abbe. Also, this location is just a 5 minute drive from Wellfleet which is a lovely town. A little further down route 6 is the Wellfleet Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. Make sure to take the walk along the marsh at sunset - very romantic! The owners were very hospitable and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!

Splendid, secluded, away from it all ....

          5 of 5
The downstairs of the owners' house, secluded, calm, with a view over the Herring River estuary out to the ocean. Two lovely porches, a short walk to the beach, in the choicest part of Truro, away from everything except for sand dunes and beach grass. The Cape at its best ....

Cozy House Close to Pristine Beach

          5 of 5
This was our second stay at First Light Cottage. We have 3 very young children and loved the close proximity to the idyllic beach and the convenience of the eat-in kitchen. The cottage itself is clean and inviting. The beach was beautiful and perfect for young children – clean yellow sand, no real waves or undertow, plenty of shells, and an estuary connecting to the ocean with fiddler crabs, hermit crabs, periwinkles, tiny shrimp and lots of little fish. When we weren’t on the beach, we enjoyed exploring the local farmers’ markets, ice cream parlors (our favorite was the Local Scoop in Orleans), and watching the seals (albeit from afar) in Chatham. The owners were very responsive and very thoughtful. There were toys for inside and for the beach, a washer and dryer we could use, a high chair we could borrow and a picnic table outside with sun umbrella. We really enjoyed our stay in Wellfleet and hope to be back again soon.
