A quaint retreat in the woods close to lots of great Cape Cod draws.

We had a very relaxing time in Wellfleet at Deirdre's property. It was everything we had hoped for - near to beaches, town and activities - surrounded by lovely countryside, and had all the amenities we wanted for our self catered stay in Cape Cod. Highly recommend staying at this property!

Great spot for a young family's beach vacation

      5 of 5
Our family had a wonderful stay at the barn. We took a one week vacation with our 6 and 8 year old daughters. The accommodations were just perfect for the kids. It has an old English garden cottage feel. We slept up in the loft while the kids slept on the daybeds. The first floor is all open which was a big plus for our family. The inside is rustic, but very cozy and comfortable. Other amenities include a deck with a grill. The outdoor shower was a lot of fun. We never showered inside. In addition, the girls loved the hammock. A plus is the farm stand at the end of the driveway. We ate fresh salads every night. Internet did not come in very well in the barn, but just outside by the outdoor shower it came in. This worked well for us. We'd look up things to do or places to go, but weren't constantly checking. So this was a plus for us. The barn is a mile and a half from Longnook beach. Longnook is beautiful, but the water is colder and the waves bigger. We headed to Corn Hill beach on the bay side. That was perfect for our kids, and also gorgeous with views of Provincetown. We had bought a week parking pass for Truro beaches for $60. It's a worthy investment for a family. There are a number of Truro beaches. Additionally, we headed to Provincetown a few times during the week. That was just a quick drive up route 6. Overall, the barn made for a great spot for our family vacation. We plan on returning!
