Wanted to spend our anniversary in Cape Cod. It was our first time. We are from Michigan but working in New York for about a year or two.
They say that if the earth was 1" closer or further away from the sun it would burn or freeze and we feel that If this place was 1" bigger or 1" smaller it wouldn't have done it for us its just perfect. Could easily accommodate 4-6 although we were a party of 2.
We felt that the location was good for our day trips and at the end of the day had peace and quiet in a place of our own. Close to shopping and grocery. Gluten free cafe just down the street A+.
Hard to express everything this place has but we loved: It is clean, Jacuzzi, WiFi, TV lounge, Fireplace, Outdoor shower, Outdoor fire-pit, Outdoor speakers, Indoor speakers wired through most of the house with aux cable and of-course the kitchen!
Pictures don't do it justice but for me choosing a place for my wife and I the pictures of the kitchen really did it for me, I could tell that this place was taken care of and updated. If it hadn't been for that I don't know that I would have pursued it as I had another rental in mind.
Other reviews mention the TV remote and cable TV functions. I agree that its tricky but I did fine with it just don't think too hard. If they update the TV and stereo down the road I think it will be easier for others. Also the light switches and knobs were mentioned but if you take your time you can figure it out no problem.
I originally wanted a place on the beach and for the price range I could not find anything that looked close to clean, comfortable and updated. I cant believe what is on this site that is considered a vacation rental and looks like a shack. So if ever you owners of this Blue Rock Cottage delve into beachfront rentals let me know as I know it will be splendid.
Thank you for the memories,
