Fabulous house has beauty, comfort, and location.

        5 of 5
This fabulous house is in a quiet private neighborhood, only blocks from the water and within walking distance to Edgartown. Some of the Vineyards best beaches are only a short drive. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and a wrap-around porch, the house is sunny, spacious and very clean/well-maintained. The kitchen is well-designed, the bedrooms large, the beds comfortable, and there is great closet space. We vacation regularly in the summer and I can truly say that this is one of the best houses we’ve stayed in - could easily be featured in a top home and garden magazine.

Wonderful family vacation in Chappy home

        5 of 5
Our 3 generational-family, including 4 teenage boys, spent an incredible week at this amazing compound in early August, 2015. The home is not easy to find but, once there, proves well worth the effort. It is three floors with bunk rooms for the kids on the lower level, 4 good sized bedrooms with 3 bathrooms on the second level, and the living/dining/kitchen space on the top level. The living area is large and comfortable and affords a wonderful view out across the water toward Nantucket. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and glassware which is always a treat when away from home. The property includes a large swimming pool, hot tub, and tennis/basketball court, all of which made this stay a real hit with our grandboys. In addition, we walked the many trails, went to the Chappy beaches, and used the short drive to the "On Time" ferry for excursions into Edgartown. All in all, this was one of the top family vacations we have experienced and we all agreed that we would love to come back in the near future and enjoy it all over again. We used to bring our son and daughter to Martha's Vineyard when they were high school/college age and they loved the opportunity to share this wonderful island with their spouses and children. This home was a big part of that positive experience and clearly the best that we have ever had on MVI.

        Fantastic Family Reunion

        5 of 5
"We had a wonderful vacation at this gorgeous rental home in Katama, and I would like to recommend this home highly. Definitely one of our favorite places we have stayed as a family, and the location of the home was ideal for us, as it is a short walk to south beach, or a fun, easy bike ride into Edgartown. One of our favorite things to start our day with was just that, a bike ride into Edgartown for coffee and/or breakfast, and some exercise (many many bikes to choose from, as they were provided with the house). My wife and I loved riding the beach cruisers, although we did give the tandem bike a try too. The home is quite spacious, nicely appointed, and very comfortable, and it accommodated our big group of families, for our mini-reunion of sorts. Plenty of comfortable rooms upstairs and downstairs for adults, with privacy and separation when you needed quiet time (there is a cottage as well, with two more rooms available). At the end of the day, we all ended up in the kitchen/large family room upstairs (which we called the Great Room), which has a very beautiful, and large wooden dining table that could seat us all, and we much appreciated being able to do that without dividing our crew up at dinner time. This is the largest, brightest room in the house and where we all seemed to congregate and had lots of laughs, meals, wine, and even impromptu dance parties that the kids put on! great memories created, although I think I pulled something trying to do an old dance move from long ago.. There is a deck just off of this room which was a good place to relax, or read in the sun, and made it easy for us to watch the kids swim in the pool just below as we prepared meals. The Great Room was our favorite room, although I think my wife's favorite might have been the sauna! Everything we needed was provided with the house, and the owners were very friendly and helpful with the whole process. Great stay, beautiful home, we all definitely want to make a return stay here in summers to come!"
