I great week away, sorry it had to end!!

                5 of 5
We had a great time. The house was roomy, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The beach was very private and quiet with a nice Sandy bottom. I enjoyed many hours of peaceful kayaking and loved watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. If you have difficulty with stairs the walk down to the beach and back might be a problem but we looked at it as good preparation for our trip to the grand canyon.

                Business Trip Experience

                4 of 5
Having business in Barre and the surrounding area and finding no hotels within close proximity, I looked to VRBO and once again found a wonderful place to stay. My business partner and I stayed in this West Wing Apartment in mid-June and it worked fine for our needs. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Some quick observations: - While it would have been good to be informed that there would be construction happening on the house during our stay, it actually had very little impact on our comfort or work. - The apartment is really well set up for a couple or small family. The main bedroom with the king bed is excellent for a great night's sleep. The twin beds in the children's rooms, however, were a bit short and not all together appropriate for a second business traveler. - If you're into keeping your accommodations spotless during your stay, there are a plethora of cleaning supplies in the kitchen and bathroom. If, however, you're expecting to take a shower, bring your own soap and shampoo. The only option provided is the liquid hand soap. - Probably the most important thing for me, arriving late in the evening was that there be a way to make coffee in the morning without having to go shopping. This was provided for wonderfully, with both decaf and regular coffee in the refrigerator and a reliable coffee maker with timer. - Other features (TV, WiFi, kitchen appliances, shower head, etc.) are all excellent.

                Wonderful Space

                4 of 5
We had a family vacation here recently and we all (7 adults, an 8-year old, and a 10 month old) fit comfortably in the space. The safari bedroom and the twin-beds room are downstairs with a bathroom that has a large walk-in shower. The green bedroom (available with a crib) is upstairs and has an air mattress bed (the raised kind) that my sister and brother-in-law said was comfortable. The upstairs bathroom has a shower/tub combination. We were able to set up an air mattress in the office area, and would have been able to put another one downstairs. It's hard to find a home with enough sleeping space and the right set up of rooms so I was very pleased. The living room has a wall of windows (and a great, huge couch) and overlooks the lake. We enjoyed the hammock set up right near the water, and a few of us enjoyed the kayak's and paddleboards. My brother-in-law caught a few fish (and released them) off the dock. One night we had a campfire and made s'mores. There was a lot of counter space in the kitchen, and they have a dishwasher. The downside was that there are only two chairs at the square table - but we were all able to eat together in the living room because there is a lot of space there. We re-washed the dishes before we used them because some of them were a little grimy, but I'm not sure that's the homeowners problem as much as the people who stayed there last. Overall the home was pretty clean (not sparkling, but good) and you can tell he's still doing some renovations to improve the space. Fantastic stay - very relaxing home to sit back, relax and catch up. Oh - you absolutely have to visit Rota Spring Farm and get their ice-cream. Seriously the best ice-cream you'll ever eat in your life.
