          Our oasis at the Cape

          5 of 5
For the third year in a row, we have enjoyed this home away from home. We look forward to our visit every year as it really gives us the opportunity to unwind and decompress before all the craziness of back to school hits us (which comes sooner than any of us wants to admit). The home is incredibly spacious, very clean and well maintained. The spacious backyard gives the little ones ample room to roam and the adults a breezy place to lay in the hammock while sipping on a cocktail :) I am already booking for next year because I know I never want to stay anywhere at the Cape but at 234 Old Main Street.

          Oh How I Miss Thee

          5 of 5
Gorgeous views, amazing amenities, kind and generous hosts, easy access to all that Cape Cod boasts-this home offers the total package. Our family of twelve, three generations, enjoyed this house tremendously. Paul and Mike are incredibly kind and generous. They took great care to insure that our visit was outstanding. The flotilla of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards at the historic beach house was a major bonus. They also had life jackets and water shoes for all of us. The chef's kitchen had all of the necessary equipment to prepare and serve meals for all of us which we enjoyed on the wonderful table for twelve on the porch overlooking Barnstable Harbor. The whole experience was magical. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and the peacefulness and calm of the porch and the neighborhood were a balm to the soul. Thank you for sharing this historic home with our family!

          Efficient, and nicely decorated.

The House was very cute and nicely decorated with beautiful beachy themed pictures, bedspreads and shells. It definitely had all of the necessary perks for a beach vacation. Beach chairs, washer and dryer, beach towels, outdoor shower, it even had a cute outdoor fire pit, and a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately the living room was set up in such a way that it was hard to watch a movie as a family because of the location of the TV, I would recommend a swivel wall mount. The front yard was wonderful, but the back yard was sand and dirt with barely any grass. There was also a very large cement structure which covered almost the entire back yard that I was told is the septic system. We did not use the yard very much. Inside the house was fairly clean. I did end up bleaching the tub and shower curtain upon arrival as it was covered with mildew. The hardwood floors were beautiful, and every room had air conditioning. Not once did we hear the adjoining neighbors. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
