I stayed in this lovely cabin for 4 nights in October and had a wonderful experience. I went there in order to find some quiet time to write a paper for grad school (because I work full-time and have a family, so too many distractions at home), and it was the perfect place to concentrate. At the same time, it is just a lovely place to be. The cabin is on the western shore of the Chesapeake, and you get stunning sunrises and the opportunity to observe all kinds of birds, including herons, bald eagles (!!!), and others I wish I could identify. Also, when I needed a break from my work, walking around Scientists' Cliffs was a wonderful pastime, as it is lovely, with amazing trees, very quiet, and people are friendly and courteous. There is a beach, called South Beach, that is a long but really nice walk from the cabin, and once you get there, you can walk along the beach - and that's another great area for watching eagles. There are also hiking trails galore, easily accessible from the cabin. The cabin has a loving and historic feel to it, very comfortable, with everything you might need already considered: good books, board games, information on the area, a fully equipped kitchen, TV and A/C, wireless internet, etc. There's even an herb garden, from which I clipped a bunch of rosemary when I roasted a chicken one night - with spectacular results! I would definitely return to this cabin!
