                  Fantastic Maine Vacation

                  5 of 5
Our family, including out adult children had a wonderful time in Maine. The cottage was so warm and inviting, especially after hiking and sightseeing around MDI. We have family members with special dietary needs so we prepare most of our food. The kitchen was well stocked and well appointed. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the location and the spectacular views of Goose Bay during sunny days and foggy weather. Being Midwestern "landlubbers," we still chuckle about the mystery of the fire ring. It wasn't until low tide that we discovered where it was located! Our family will always cherish our visit to Maine and we highly recommend the cottage on Goose Bay.

Perfect first time trip to Maine

                  5 of 5
If you want a stay in a house that offers a flavor of what Maine is all about, this is the place. The condition of the house was immaculate and the open floor plan, comfortable furnishings, and nautical décor added to the charm. When we weren't hiking at Acadia we enjoyed sitting on the deck reading or watching the sunset over the water in the evening. The kitchen had updated appliances and all worked perfectly. The office, with a great view, allowed me to work when I had to. Susan was super responsive to all our questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A true home away from home, an unbeatable view!

                  5 of 5
We had an incredible stay at this wonderful family home! The home is equipped with all the essentials and then some, and is thoughtfully designed and laid out to maximize both the interior and exterior space. The bedrooms and sleeping arrangements are very comfortable and allow for excellent privacy and separation for kids and other guests. Full baths upstairs and on the main floor are a welcome touch for a big group, too! The wraparound deck has unobstructed water views that are nothing short of stunning. (And the cozy deck off the master suite lets you wake up to the same beautiful views!) A short a walk down to the shoreline affords picture perfect sunsets that will surely become a "not-to-be-missed" part of your day! There is ample parking, and the outside of the property is beautifully maintained. There are seemingly endless outdoor activities all around Mount Desert Island, with the home being very convenient to several parts of Acadia National Park. The hiking, kayaking, and biking are simply some of the best we have experienced anywhere. We loved the location of this property on the "quiet side" of the island, and the drive to Bar Harbor for shopping, dining, and other activities is an easy one. We will certainly be back!
