              Perfect for our family

              5 of 5
Joan's place in Bass Harbor was the perfect place for our family of 4. We could access Acadia's hiking trails and carriage roads from the 'quiet' side, then retreat to this cozy house. Having a full kitchen is great for making your own breakfast and dinner on both ends of a long day of hiking or biking. There is a good restaurant within walking distance of the house and several dining options (including an ice cream stop) in Southwest Harbor on the drive from Acadia back to Joan's place.

              Wonderful week on MDI

              4 of 5
This home was a great place of rest during our busy week at MDI. Clean and comfortable. The owners were hospitable and friendly. While wifi was spotty, I enjoyed watching my teenage daughters get frustrated over not having service. This was a great benefit! LOL I would recomend this place to anyone. The house is fully furnished and is very clean!

              Ideal setting to explore Acadia!

              5 of 5
Our family of six had a delightful stay at this Maine vacation home while exploring Acadia National Park. We hiked, toured the Rockefeller Bridges, had tea and popovers, discovered tide pools and relaxed on a carriage ride. This home was an ideal spot to refuel and rest between park adventures. The home is beautifully updated and spotlessly clean! The kids loved the connecting bedrooms and had fun exploring the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. There is a small grocery store very nearby that has all the essentials. We enjoyed flipping through the many travel books and relaxing on the sun porch. The owner was very friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had prior to our arrival. This is a gem on Mt. Desert Island!
