                  Comfy, cozy stay

                  4 of 5
Great overall, very nice cabin and the area is nice. Wish I knew beforehand that we would have to carry the canoe quite a distance to get it into the water. Area of Naples is ok, need to drive quite a distance to get to the towns. Had a lot of fun on the water, drove an hour to Portland, and 1.5 hrs to Mt Washington in new Hampshire.

                  Fabulous Accommodations & Vacation!

                  5 of 5
Can't say enough good things about our stay @ Black Bear Cabin! From the time we arrived to the time we had to unfortunately leave we enjoyed all the amenities & surrounding area. The Cabin is perfectly situated and simply decorated to give you that mountain cabin feel, with all accommodations you could need and/or want. Right down to the lobster pot for local fair and conveniently located towels for our morning coffee & evening wind down hot tubs! We're glad to have taken advantage of the kayaks to enjoy the lake and the fire pit to hang out and relax while gazing at the stars. We were fortunate enough to be in such a secluded place to take in a meteor shower.......wow!! A day trip to OOB, for sunning & funning, a trip to Portland for lunch @ DiMillo's floating restaurant and taking in the sights. We even ventured to Freeport, stopping in to Maine Craft Distilling (yummm) and Petrillo's for amazing food. Then off to N. Conway for some shopping & poking! the Muddy Moose did not disappoint. Overall........consensus says, this was one of the best vacations we've had thus far! We would highly recommend Black Bear Cabin to any of our family, friends and acquaintances. Thank you Rauseo family ~ We can't wait for the next visit! John, Brenda, Lexie & Bella too!

                  Fantastic accommodations... even in winter!

                  5 of 5
12/31/2015 Our family thoroughly enjoyed spending our Christmas vacation in your home! Many people thought we were crazy driving so far north for a winter family get-together (we usually head for the coast), but it was a fantastic experience. The house is large, beautiful, and well-equipped. The heated driveway made it easy to come and go. We had plenty of room to spread out and do our own things, plus gather in groups for board games, etc. Meals were a special delight around your long table and generous bar in the kitchen... picked up some live Maine lobster, corn, potatoes, etc. and enjoyed a feast! The lake was beautiful - even surrounded by ice and snow. Nearby skiing and sledding activities were big hits with the kids. We will always enjoy memories of this special time together.
