                          Peaceful, beautiful Pitcher Pond

                          5 of 5
The cottage was perfect for our needs with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was well-equipped and tidy. Internet was sketchy and we had a hard time keeping up with emails etc. That said, Maine is where we (should) go to get away from all that - but my husband had to keep up with work. The cottage is not on the water but across from a property on the water. Pitcher Pond is idyllic and quiet, wooded and pristine. Our stay was very relaxing.

                          Condo on Toddy Pond

                          5 of 5
Perfect location for us. Our son goes to MMA and we like to visit Bar Harbor so it's kinda in the middle. It's a tiny house but definately fit our needs. It was very clean and up to date. My husband is 6'2 so with the slanted ceilings it was hard for him to stand in the bathroom the kitchen but for me it was perfect. They have great outdoor seating with a nice fire pit. The garage is nice with access to the washer and dryer. Very sweet couple who stayed in contact with text messages to make sure we made it ok and didn't need anything. We had a great time. Thanks!

Updated private, cozy, country home with friendly & trustworthy owner

                          5 of 5
This was our first family vacation, with a 4 month old baby and 1 year old german shepherd, and the Honeymoon Cottage was perfect for us & we'd recommend the house to family & friends. The house was as described and pictured - charming, clean, well decorated, with landscaped grounds. The owner, Paul, met us upon our arrival, showed us around the property, and gave us helpful advice about the area (restaurants, stores, etc.). Paul was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and after. (When we arrived home, we realized we had mistakenly left several hundred dollars cash at the house...we spoke with Paul the next morning and he immediately went to the house, located the cash, honestly told us that it was $50 more than we thought, and mailed us a check.) We couldn't have been more thankful for his honesty and assistance. The house had good wifi, a smart tv, cable, an iron, coffee maker, toaster, washer/dryer, dishwasher, grill, kitchen supplies, towels, bedding, and more - so basically everything you might need. The house is close to the road, but is very private, in a safe area, and a short walk to the water. We visited in late August, and while the temperature got up to the mid 80s during the day, there were fans for every room and the house was sufficiently cool without air conditioning. The master bedroom was spacious, with vaulted ceilings, two closets, and was private. It was large enough for us to have our baby's pack-n-play in the room without sacrificing space. There are two other bedrooms on the 2nd floor, along with a full bathroom, and the fourth bedroom is in the walk-out basement - providing extra privacy. The yard was large & well kept - our dog loved running around in it. We spent our evenings on the screened in porch having dinner and playing cards, or by the fire pit (you do need a permit from the town to make a fire). The fire permit was another example of Paul going above and beyond - when I went to town hall it was closed due to a personal emergency so we called Paul and he contacted the necessary individuals to get a permit issued. Lastly, it's easy to visit Acadia from the house, it's a 45-55 minute drive that we did several days, as well as several other coastal towns.
