                Recent Orrs Island Reviews

Excellent time at this quaint cottage on the water with beautiful views!

                5 of 5
My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We particularly liked the views from the living/dining room and the master suite upstairs of Casco Bay through the trees. Didn't have to get out of bed to see those views. The kitchen was a good size and well stocked with pots/pans/etc. in order to cook. The location was close to family members we visited which was excellent. There is a general store in under a mile and there were a couple of great hiking trails within 2 miles that we hiked with our dog. Great time and would recommend it to anyone.

a wonderful charming place to stay

                5 of 5
Kinsale by the Sea was the most charming place to stay. The house is a bit rustic, but that added to the ambience of Maine! We had a cozy fire in the fireplace with the sound of waves rolling up on the rocks outside. Our family of 13 were very comfortable and the beds were great. We saw seals and bald eagles while watching from the big picture window in the living room. We even watched the lobster boats checking their traps every day or so. All the supplies we needed were provided; all we did was bring in the food. This house is just so wonderful and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if/when we get to Maine. Thank you for letting our family make so many happy memories while staying at Kinsale by the Sea!!

                Captain's View-Phenomenal!

                5 of 5
My family recently spent a week at this cottage and cannot say enough good things about it! Not only is it a spacious place with big rooms, but the floor plan is well layed to offer privacy for the bedrooms. Everything was extremely neat and in great condition. My kids (19, 17, and 15-all athletes and over 6') didn't feel cramped at all. The kitchen was huge, clean, and fully equipped allowing us to cook many of our own meals. Once you head outside things only get better. There were miltiple decks with lots of seating. There was also a private stairway with a very rocky beach. The lawns were roomy as well. The best part is the private float. It was so fun to watch the tide, jump off the float, kayak into the bay and Atlantic, and lay on the float. The water is closer than you could imagine and we spent many hours watching the lobster boats just right in front of us. We plan to return next year and do not anything bad to say about the place!
