If we owned a vacation home, we'd want it to be exactly like this. Comfortable, sunny, spacious, clean, well laid-out, and everything we need is there. The kitchen not only has everything for cooking and serving, down to a complete array of spices, but also things like breakfast cereal, coffee, flour, you name it. With the complete market within walking distance, we're all set. Plus a washer and dryer! And wi-fi! Netflix (but who has time for that; we didn't use it).
Too many great places to eat nearby (The Cupboard Cafe, Muscongus Bay lobster pound, Shaws, The Anchor, then more in Damariscotta, especially Savory Maine and Larson's Lunch Box).
In Damariscotta, we love the used bookstore, the bookstore and it's cafe, the library, both Reny's, both Weatherbirds.
So much to do, and such a beautiful part of the world.
The handbook of local attractions and amenities that Natalie put together is very useful. We've barely scratched the surface of things to do (next summer - puffins!).
