The cabin is very nice and homey! Comfortable bedding, awesome shower head, top of the applicances.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We ice fished all day and watched from the warm comfort of the cabins couches and wood stove. The veiw was perfect for fishing. It was hard for us to leave. The cabin was great!

The property, lake views and interior were all very satisfactory.

There were seven adults in our party and we were all very happy with the property as it was advertised honestly with a very up-scale kitchen and three full very nice bathrooms. The negatives were gaining access to the property as detailed in our final message from Higgins Realty. The owner of the property, not the real estate agent, was to meet us at the property to give us access and give a brief orientation to TV, WiFi, etc. We were given three contact numbers to reach the owner: his home, his work, his cell. He was not available at any of these numbers and we were delayed in gaining entry to our rental while the cleaning staff was contacted as they had a key. We were told the owner could not be reached because he was in a meeting; however, communication was clear on our arrival time and the owner needed to make sure we had access to the property if he was not going to be available. It should be noted in the property description that the advertised WiFi was very unreliable. There also was no info in any communication we received on what to do with trash and recycles and how to close the house at the end of our stay. Only entry was by key, but no details on if house should be left unlocked with keys left in the house or if keys should be dropped at some other location. Clearly the property is very nice but the owner/rental agent need to work on details to make the stay flawless.

              Inner-Boy Scout

              5 of 5
If you are anything like me and have an inner-Boy Scout, Rockwood Lodge will not disappoint. Think Next Gen Boy Scout though. Our 'cabin' was retro-fitted to make you feel like you are playing the part, only it also comes with things like a fireplace, full bath, fridge, and a fire pit right out the back door. And that was only one of the camps. So dreamy. The main camp is open and welcoming with views all around you. It is the perfect balance of spacious and cozy. The owners were incredibly cool and resourceful with loads of information about the property, the sights and the local fun. Truly special spot that is not to be missed.
