Perfection!!

5 of 5
This home was perfect for us. We traveled to the area with some High School boys for a basketball tournament and we had plenty of space. The boys loved the house and had plenty of things to do. The kitchen is amazing. It had everything we needed to prepare meals. Everyone felt at home. The owners were great to work and helped us quickly to resolve one small problem with the TV. HomeAway has yet to fail. This house was a slam dunk!!!

Great lake house - just 40 mins to Acadia!

5 of 5
We loved our stay at the lake house! The cabin was very clean - although we would recommend a better broom/vacuum for quicker cleanup when checking out. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking utensils you could need. The views of the lake are beautiful - pictures don't do it justice! A few suggestions - larger tv for living room, more blankets - we used from other beds to stay warm and cozy on the couch. If possible, more living room furniture - it was perfectly fine for two people but when talking about coming back with friends or family we realized there would be a shortage of furniture for a movie night (GREAT movie selection by the way!). What we loved most about this house was its seclusion. But the neighboring properties are fairly close - one has multiple trailers and the other looks to be the start of another cabin being built. Luckily no one was home during our stay, and we're crossing our fingers for the same when we return. One last thing, we loved the convenience of a washer and dryer and having linens provided. In order to avoid a surcharge, you must wash all linens and towels before leaving. In theory, not a bad idea, but for the two of us (1 bed's linens, 2 blankets on bed, comforter, 2 extra blankets for couch, 2 bath towels = 4 loads of laundry) it took us past check out time (we started at 7am) to get all of the laundry done. Thankfully, we called the owners and they were fine with us staying past 11am to finish the laundry. Note to self: start laundry at 6am. If you use more than 1 bed...start at 5am! All in all it was a great house and we look forward to coming back again!
