Great to come "home" to Lyman!

                5 of 5
We lived in Lyman for many years and always loved the location. Close to all Maine attractions, yet out of the fray - peaceful, serene. Imagine my delight when I found Joanne's home in Lyman available for stays. The home sits on an amazing parcel on her family's land. Enjoy beautiful views from the bay window in the kitchen or back deck. The home is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Truly, you will find everything you need for your Maine vacation with plenty of extras! Joanne was quite possibly the best VRBO host I have ever worked with. She met us upon arrival to ensure we knew how to operate everything in the house, and was just a phone call or text away if we needed anything. Do not hesitate to rent here if you're lucky enough to find it available or I just might beat you to it!

                5 Stars, all the way!

                5 of 5
FInn Farm has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location of the Fram provides a beautiful scenic view of Cocktail Bay and the Saco River. One could spend their entire stay in the backyard of this house simply enjoying the view! Tom and Diane could not have been more accommodating. They provided us with plenty of recommendations and answered promptly any questions we had. We were even able to push off of their dock and into the Saco River for a paddle on a tandem kayak that was absolutely wonderful. We could not thank our hosts enough for providing us with the tools to have such a fabulous weekend. We cannot recommend this place enough and we also cannot wait to come back!

Beatiful farmhouse was the perfect retreat for our family-Highly recommend!

                5 of 5
If your family lives a hectic life this farmhouse is the perfect retreat. We spent a week here in August 2016 and were thrilled the minute we drove up the driveway. Before we even went inside the house, we peeked in on the chickens we quickly nicknamed Ryan Lochte and Simone Biles (clearly, it was Olympics time). They provided delicious eggs and endless entertainment for all of us. The house is even prettier than the pictures. It is beautifully maintained, freshly painted and allows in a ton of sunlight. With the windows and doors open the breeze was always refreshing and we were comfortable. (Fans in the upstairs bedrooms were a nice bonus and we never missed our home A/C.) We were thrilled with how well stocked the house is... every bedroom has plenty of blankets and pillows, with extra sheets. There are towels for the bathrooms. And the kitchen has every implement you need if you cook. Bonus: lots of little pantry staples that make vacationing in a home so much easier... no need for buying oil or sugar or flour at the store. (We rent a home in another state and we have to bring/buy everything I've mentioned... it is a huge help to have all of this there, and in great working shape.) The home sits on a stunning piece of property... the pictures don't do it justice. We loved sitting around the fire pit and just relaxing-- we felt no rush to go out because being at home was lovely. A sweet, outdoor kitty became a part of the family (in spite of my allergy). There is a short bike ride to a conservation area that has easy hiking trails (not challenging for real hikers, but great for small kids or a nice nature walk). Goose Rocks beach is a 10 minute drive and it is stunning. When the tide is out it is great for walking or even riding bikes on the beach. The center of Kennebunkport is also about a 10 minute drive with cute shops and restaurants. Wildwood farm is a great central location... this was a first family trip to Maine and we easily visited Portland, Ogunquit (a must), and Freeport. I had a few questions about the area/home while we were visiting and emails/texts to the owner were quickly returned. We had a few nice text chats! I don't know if we will be able to get back to Maine anytime soon but if we do we will absolutely stay here again. Even though we generally love staying at the beach, it was so nice to have a "country" home . I highly recommend if you have kids of any age, or are traveling with older relatives who can do stairs.
