Awesome stay at scenic Katie Dove Beach Farm

            5 of 5
I would recommend this location and specifically this property to anyone looking to truely "get away". Views from the deck and enclosed porch were tremendous. Private acces to the bay, were we spent every low tide looking for mussels, shells and sea glass, or just hiking the flats. Spent evenings around a drift wood fire in the fire pit. Property is definitely outside of town, but just a short drive to restaurants and even a dunkin donuts. Head the other way and within a few minutes you are in Cutler purchasing fresh lobster right from the docks. Property is an easy drive from awesome hiking trails, and other must see locations such as Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Lubec and Eastport. We would highly recommend a whale watching cruise in Eastport and sitting on the dock in Lubec watching the seals just feet away! Great accomodations, with friendly hosts who are just a phone call away if you have any issues.

            Lovely place on the water!

Beautiful and secluded. If you want quiet and privacy this is the place. We like places off the beaten path and this delivered. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies. We cooked several meals while here only thing that was missing was maybe a large skillet. My teenagers loved the library area and sat around there in the evening reading and hanging out. The elderly neighbors were precious. We enjoyed a visit from them. ❤️ We drove into Canada which was about a hour and half away. Really enjoyed St Andrew and Ministers Island. Also close to Acadia National Park it was about 2 hours away. Rogue Bluffs was close and it had a nice beach and plenty of wild blueberries to pick. Also lots of wild raspberries to eat in the area too! Lobsterfest in Rockland was also fun and there were several other festivals going on in surrounding towns. Schoodic Point was less than an hour away and it was neat. Keep in mind while in Maine the travel is slow. Allow extra time to get places. If it's 60 miles away allow 2 hours. The only thing I would suggest is a folder with instructions on what to do with trash and what they wanted done with dirty towels, sheets, etc. Each house we stay at usually has very specific instructions for final day. But all in all great place and we had a wonderful Maine Vacation.

            A small piece of Heaven

            5 of 5
We enjoyed ourselves so much! The peace and rest that our Family has for a few short days was incredible. We picked blue berries, went on a Lobster Boat and then cooked the Lobster, played games, had lots of coffee, cooked meals and baked desserts in the spacious kitchen. Many late night visiting with Family and our Beautiful friend, Susan! It was a small piece of Heaven! Jim & Dee Wiltshire
