We arrived a bit early and were welcomed by our host who was making sure the tv was properly set up. There had been a storm that knocked service out for some in the area. Since we were early, we headed to a nearby store for our weekly groceries and to do a little exploring. The kitchen was well supplied with the usual amenities, including a large pot and shellfish crackers should we decide to cook a lobster at home. Debra wisely furnished the sitting room with two cushioned chairs and ottomans and a nice-sized tv with Netflix and other apps. The front porch has a couple of chairs for relaxing and watching passersby. The property is located on the main road for the harbor, so there is traffic but considering the size of the town, it was not a hazard or too noisy. The backyard has a fire pit with chairs for non-tv watching evenings. We were within walking distance of an IGA store, the ferry, and a couple of restaurants. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. In addition to having a book of things to and places to eat, Debra offered several suggestions, i.e. take the ferry to Bar Harbor for the day. She even offered to pick up some fresh clams for us when she went to Bar Harbor. We would recommend the property as comfortable and suitable for two people.
