I was excited to find this home away from home for my family's July 2016 visit to Bar Harbor. Our group consisted of 6 adults and my one year old niece. It was convenient that the master bedroom was separated from the living room and other bedrooms, which allowed her to go to bed while the rest of the family stayed up later. The living room is spacious and was an excellent place to relax and unwind.
The location of the property is perfect - across the street from the grocery store (where you will find all of your essentials) and Jordan's Restaurant (a delicious breakfast spot), and easy walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor and many other local attractions including the Land Bridge to Bar Island. There are public parking lots available for use, and even in peak season we did not have too much trouble finding a spot (we did have to utilize two hour parking and move our car when overnight parking became available a couple of times during our 1 week stay).
Margaret was an excellent hostess. She coordinated a crib for our niece and set it up before our stay (for a small fee). Bar Harbor was also in the midst of a heat wave during our stay and Margaret provided us with a box fan (my pregnant hormones were keeping me warm)! We never had any issues with hot water availability even with 6 people taking showers.
I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Bar Harbor in the future!
