              Charming in every way!

We felt really lucky to find Richard and Hope's cottage on short notice for a quick family vacation. The cottage is truly a little home of your own, fully equipped, spacious and well designed. Lots of room for four of us - including a great loft that our college age son really enjoyed. The location is close to Lincolnville Beach and the ferry, shops, a reasonable drive to Acadia....and everyone we met was so friendly. A great little corner of Maine. Truly hope we can make it back again!

Great Location to Explore Acadia National Park

              4 of 5
We made a great choice in renting this home. The owners were flexible when we had a medical emergency that required a slight change in plans. Check in was incredibly easy; we felt as though we were visiting family friends when we arrived with the blueberry pie on the counter! The walkout basement was ideal with the bicycles, hiking and running equipment we brought to enjoy the outdoor environment of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We stayed active hiking the Gorham Mountain Trail, Champlain Mountain Trail, Beehive Trail, Pemetic Mountain Trail and enjoyed the carriage trails, Sands Beach and the town of Bar Harbor. The location of the house made everything easily accessible. Be mindful, however, that the home is located directly on Eden Street. The street is busy and noisy with traffic all day and evening. Also note that one bedroom in the home exits either through a shared bathroom or another bedroom. Additionally, the departure requirements required considerable time; as per the directions, we stripped every bed, washed sheets and towels, sorted recycling and organized trash.
