We stayed for 4 days in February 2017, cabin was perfect for us.
First of all I have to say, the owner is great to deal with. We had a trip scheduled in February 2016 and the weather didn't work out, it ended up raining the week before. He worked with us to make arrangements to stay this year with no change in cost or extra fees.
It's only about 1/4 mile down the cabin road and you hit a short trail and then are on ITS-85. It snowed a few inches when we were there, driveway was plowed when we got back from sledding. The inside of the cabin is cozy, the propane heat works great, it was 73 every day when we got back in, hot water is perfect, it was nice to get a warm shower after a long day. There was direct Tv, but no internet, another item that would improve it greatly. Cell service was spotty with Verizon, but txt and calls would go thru, a few miles down the road it was full service perfect. There is a nice deck all around the cabin, although we didn't get to use it much. Some of the appliances (fridge and stove) are a bit dated, but worked perfect. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and everything was ready to go. It was one of the first rentals I have been at in a long time that supplied paper towels, toilet tissue, and tissues. There were towels provided that were fresh, all the beds were clean and ready to go. Only thing that I would say needs a bit of improvement is a few more lamps at night. In the dining/living room it seemed to be a bit dark at night to read a book or look at a magazine. Also, the driveway would be a bit challenging with a larger trailer. We had a 12' trailer and it worked well, just had to back down the 100yd drive from the rd. I would say anything more than 25' would be a struggle to get in., especially with a decent snow pack, it was banked up pretty good. I imagine you could park on the side road in front of the cabin if needed.
I would definitely return for another trip and am already thinking about next year.
