This was an amazing place to stay. The hosts met us at the gate and provided a beautiful place for us to stay. Our arrival was later than expected and they made sure we had food for breakfast the next day. When we met them the next day they took time to explain the area and gave us maps and places to go. They were accessible to us the whole time to answer questions and help with any needs including laundry. The farm is truly picturesque and very home-like. Each day when we retired for the day, it was like going home. The apartment was quiet, warm and friendly. It was close to Florence and the bus system, so we could travel to cities and return to the country each day. We were grateful to be able to stay on this beautiful farm in Tuscany.
Thank you Giancarlo and Patrizia for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
This is perfect for two couples or a family. Spacious rooms make this a comfortable home. 2 bedrooms and baths separated by an eat in kitchen. There is also a living room. Which we dubbed our card playing room.
Beautiful landscape views. Fabulous restaurants and bakeries for our morning pastry run.
This is a very walkable village. Turn right outside the front door and made our way down to the elevator which took us to the main piazza. More restaurants.
Friday is public market. Fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood. Tablecloths, shoes, clothing, pot and pans.... etc.
Overall we felt transported in time. A real treat.
The apartment had few idiosyncrasies which were easily remedied. Tiny clothes washer, but we made do. No clothes dryer.... but, a unique clothesline. This did not pose a problem for us. We all rather enjoyed our line dried clothes. No shrinkage which is a good thing after all the fabulous food we’ve been eating....
A tiny coffee pot made just one cup at a time. No dishwasher, but we didn’t cook, so the few cups and dishes were not an issue to wash by hand.
If we happen to venture back to this part of beautiful Italy, we would not hesitate to rebook this apartment.
