Lantern Cottage was our first stay while visiting England from Canada. My daughter was absolutely tickled pink to stay in this delightful historic house....she wanted to move in!! Great location, we even walked from rail station in St Austell....not far at all. Grocery store a close walk as well. Charlestown is lovely with some very good restaurants, coffee shops and artisans. Buses were handy for us to get to the Eden Project and a day in Fowey. A very 3 night good stay!!
The Cottage lived up to our expectations & more. The location is amazing. Well worth navigating the narrow lanes to get to it!
We visited in March when it was cold & windy but sitting inside with the log burner lit watching the waves crash onto the beach was stunning. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need and the lovely touches such as flowers and shortbread and provisions so we could have a cup of tea or coffee on arrival was much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back possibly trying it in a different season to appreciate sitting outside enjoying the beach and scenery around. I can't say enough about the place it's gorgeous.
