The quiet and privacy are very nice. The location is also great. We used a rental car and drove ourselves to Thira or Oia when we wanted to visit, but glad we didn’t stay in those more crowded areas. The apartment is nicely located near a lovely tavern and close to red and black sand beaches. Plan on either renting a car or asking the property manager to arrange transportation, unless you plan to stay only in Akrotiri area on foot.
Dimitris was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. He gave us good advice on places to go.
Taller people may prefer to stay in the downstairs bedroom. At times it was a little cold inside but the heater works fine. We used the kitchen to cook some of our own meals bought from the grocery store.
This property is beautiful, with probably one of the best views in Fira and Santorini, with a pool that overlooked the caldera. The hosts paid close attention to the provision of amenities (robes, slippers, a safe, hair dryer, and ample towels/blankets, etc.) and there was daily housekeeping service. They also provided a baby crib for us on request. There was food and wine available when we first arrived and the water was restocked every day. The suite is within a short 5-10 minute (maximum) walk to all the major shops and restaurants in Fira. In order to get to the suite, we had to park and walk down a steep trail, but the property manager helped us to take out our bags on our way out, which we really appreciated. My wife was feeling under the weather and the housekeeper took the extra step to provide her with care that day. The only downside was that the tub needed to drain slowly (we understand that Santorini does have its plumbing problems) and if we tried to empty it more quickly, we ended up with a pool of water on the floor. We had more than enough towels, so it proved a minor inconvenience. We would absolutely recommend this spot and would love to return again!
