Great stay in more ways than one

                            4 of 5
My family likes to take a trip to Lake Cumberland about once a year. We were looking for a place that was close to a boat ramp and was big enough for 8 people and this place fit the bill perfectly. The kitchen was spacious for food prep and there was plenty of room to sit and eat for everyone. The added bonus of the view of the lake was also a treat. We had a number of houseboats park in the cove so that was cool to see. Some of the things in the house are a little dated, but everything is provided for what you need out of a weekend getaway. We attempted to find a path down to the shore, but it was too steep or we just weren't going the right way. We did have an issue with a leak in the kitchen coming down through the upstairs shower, but Cecil came by and fixed it while we were out on the lake. We didn't have any problems after that, but were surprised nobody else caught it earlier. We would definitely stay here again though and recommend to others. Shirley and Cecil made it really easy for us!

                            A magic stay

                            5 of 5
I still can't believe this place is even real. It's like an oasis; you'd never expect it to be there. It's the perfect mix of a quiet getaway and adventure. There are caves to be exlored (let Bronco show you) and huge catfish to be fed. I wish we had stayed longer. Sitting on the porch with a cool drink is what my busy mind needed to relax.

                            A pure paradise of solitude

                            5 of 5
We had an amazing time on our week long getaway. It was "A pure paradise of solitude". Our kids came down at different times, so there was a lot of in and out going on. The Cabin/House was spectacular and so clean with everything that you could possibly need. Surprising to all of us was the comfort of the beds and pillows. Usually a place is nice, but the comfort leaves a lot to be desired. Another amazing factor was the beauty as well as cleanliness of the lake. Our grandson and his friend had the time of their lives using their paddle boats all around, exploring and swimming. The trails were so well taken care of, no weeds to go through and the views, spectacular. It's so close to the Gorge and Natural Bridge. We will defiantly be back for future vacations. PS) The cat fish are huge and love hot dogs... PSS) Go to Stanton if you want a good grocery store, Kroger. They are small but so friendly.
