        Keeneland Weekend

        5 of 5
Booked this place for the weekend to take a trip to the track with 4 guys. The house was perfect for what we were looking for! Great views of the water! We could have spent all day just hanging out on the deck. We are from Michigan so waterfront is important to us and this place did not disappoint. The rooms were appropriately sized and the kitchen was adequately stocked to handle our needs. We would stay here again!

Charming spot for the hale and hearty

        4 of 5
This cabin on the Kentucky River is artful and attractive to the max. I can see doing a Vogue magazine shoot here. Old Kentucky antiques are used to delightful effect. It’s a visual wow. HOWEVER – this is a spot for young folks. There are broken and steep stone steps from the parking area to the kitchen door. The only bathroom is down a precipitous flight of steps from the bedroom. The second bedroom is a loft accessible only by a rustic ladder. I had planned to sleep there, but wasn’t brave enough. (Little boys would love this! Mature adults would not.) The TV was smaller than our computer screen and not as user-friendly. The shower is a tiny stall. There is no closet space or room to unpack your belongings. If you realize what you’re getting into, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Bring your camera. I would love to give a party here and sleep somewhere else.
