Entering this amazing apartment into a majestic courtyard was impressive, and the apartment was awesome! My first words were "I could live here!" Beautiful solid wood floors, kitchen, eating area, private bedroom and nice washroom. Beautiful decor and frescos... you could tell that this place was arranged with love and care. Beautiful antique furniture pieces and art even. Absolutely lovely. The owner even left some water in the fridge and a few items in the cupboard, like coffee, sugar, oils, noodles... very thoughtful!
My only beef -- and it's a big one - is the washing machine. Despite the fact detailed steps were left in english, the steps were still confusing and when I followed them carefully, the machine was silent. I tried over and over and over... had trouble with the spin cycle (which they call centrifugal). When I followed the instructions after my wash cycle was done (put it on F and hit start again), nothing happened. Silence. I tried at least 10 times. Finally it did start, after we spent over an hour of our precious time to get it going. I sought help, but really didn't get it (other than to be told to follow the instructions.) That was extremely frustrating. After the spin cycle the clothes smelled damp and were still quite wet. It took two days to get them wearable. Being the end of our 10 day vacation, we really needed fresh clothes.
The only other suggestion I would make, is to leave instructions that the hot water tank has a power switch above the kitchen sink. My first shower was a cold one until I investigated the water heater and guessed the switch might be the issue. This is not something north american people are familiar with.
I would DEFINATELY stay in this apartment again and recommend it, but need to figure that washing machine out. Otherwise, thank you thank you for such a beautiful spot.
