The 3 days we spent here was our kids favourite stay of a 45 day trip. The views are as good or better than those shown in the listing. The house itself is stunning. Beautifully renovated with every detail looked after including fantastic heating, bathrooms, well equipped large kitchen, and really comfortable bedding spread over 5 split levels with heaps of room to really settle in and spread out. There are numerous sitting areas, fire places and equally as many outside sitting/dining areas each with their own lovely view and well equipped outdoor furniture.
The property is located on a large lot of land which is shared with the host, which is handy if you need anything. The properties are adequately private so there are no issues there. They have horses, 2 dogs and 2 adorable kittens (George & Peter) who my kids absolutely fell in love with as they spent a lot of time at our place. My middle son cried when we were leaving! The dogs are also great and my other son took to Remi the Jack Russell, wandering around the property hunting for grass hoppers for hours.
The town itself is very quiet which is exactly what we were after - situated on a hill overlooking the lake (no direct access to the lake) but has a couple of good grocery stores and lovely restaurants also with great views over the lake.
There is a path at the rear of the property which leads to the lake. This is a challenging path, and while I only got about half way down (which took about 30 minutes), the scenery on the path itself was lovely.
Our only regret is not staying longer.
