The apartment itself is a 1-room studio with full bathroom. Very clean, impressively quiet despite being on a moderately busy street. There was a small cooking area with sink, refrigerator, and two-burner stove, which we used only once, but seemed quite functional. The "Verdi Apartments" consist of a former half-floor apartment in a large apartment building. That formerly large unit has been chopped up into a half-dozen small units like ours, but we only heard our neighbors once during a week-long stay, and never saw any of them. The main building is set back from the street, which helps keep it quiet at night.
The location is excellent, one block from Piazza della Liberta and less than a mile from the Duomo and other central Florence attractions. We walked everywhere. Even the south side of the river (Oltrarno) was less than 1/2 hour away. There are good restaurants and places to get coffee nearby, and the main train station is also just a 15 minute walk if going on excursions. The city bus to Fiesole, a lovely nearby hill town, stops just a couple blocks away as well.
In summary, the property was clean, well-maintained, and convenient, and we had a lovely week there.
