                                    A slice of Heaven!!

                                    5 of 5
A slice of heaven tucked away in the Tuscany countryside, Lucia's and Andrea's residence is Tavarnelle, roughly 17 KM from both Siena and Florence. The home is simply delightful and the 2nd floor in its entirety is all yours. Two large beautifully decorated bedrooms with queen size beds in each and a large tiled bathroom with stunning tiled stand up shower. The terrace is among and overlooks the vineyards and olive trees which are stunning especially during the Tuscany sunset. Lucia and Andrea are most gracious hosts attending to every detail of our stay. Their passion is evident in the care they took to attend to every detail of our stay, expected and unexpected! We had rental car problems and had planned on driving to Tuscany, but life gets in the way sometimes and Andrea and Lucia graciously picked us up from the train station and offered us their personal vehicle for the duration of our stay. We are eternally grateful for their trust and generosity, we cannot thank you enough!! From dinner recommendations and reservations, to advice and recommendations on daily trips, Andrea and Lucia did it all. We ate and drank spectacularly. We woke each morning to the smell of fresh Italian coffee and pancetta climbing the staircase. My 8 year old daughter is still talking about Lucia's pancakes and real Maple Syrup! ( my wife from Vermont this is essential). Eggs, pancakes, fresh Blackberries & Raspberries, yogurt and granola, meats and cheeses, and an assortment of teas adorned the table each morning. The terrace is spectacular! A carafe of Rosato under the Tuscan Sunset was simply a wonderful way to ease into the evening! On our first night Andrea and Lucia prepared a wonderful meal for us on the terrace: wine, Pectorino cheese, local tomatoes that you can smell before they hit your tongue, olive oil pressed from trees you can see and touch, and subtly sweet figs. Andrea even whipped us up some fresh pasta with a light tomato, garlic and basil sauce which was heaven on our tongues. So much to say! Don't let this place slip by your visit! Thank you both for everything. We miss you already. Give Pash and Luna a kiss from us and we do hope you visit Boston soon! Lots of love, Jeff, Lena, Searra, and Maya

We rented a home (Marzari) through Belvilla In Predazzo Italy and the home was by far more impressive in real life than the pictures. The owners of the property were extremely accommodating and assisted us instantly when we had questions. We would go back without hesitation.

Aanrijdend one mountain at 120 meters altitude with steep bits, we arrived in a tiny hamlet with about 20 houses and a beautiful church in 1100. So there you could by car, then walking straight up to the cottage, the last in the hamlet, so quiet. From there, some nice things done. Stresa is very nice, even chic to mention. The town Mergozzo yielded even a real beer cafe, with all Belgian beers, you do not expect it ... Even a trip to the Orthameer is very nice, because we made a nice mtbtocht. The supermarket Ibercoop is really as "a mega case, the Tigros is much nicer and more authentic. The cottage was primitive, with a nice bathroom and a lovely covered seating area. During a storm lovely to sit outside. Anyway All in all a nice had a holiday, only downside is that you do not actually go down the mountain without a car, unless you are very sporty.
