                          Amazing Apartment

                          5 of 5
This is an absolutely amazing place to stay. We were a group of 9 adults and four children under the age of 5. The apartment itself is huge with every possible amenity available. The HUGE sitting room was an excellent place to converge and had loads of room for everyone. Bedrooms were equally huge and two cots were also provided free of charge for the two babies. It is centrally located with lots of shops, supermarket and restaurants only a very short walk. Very central for getting to all the sites. A special word of thanks to Samuel and the team at Habitat who literally couldn't have been any more helpful. The arranged pick up from and drop off to the airport as well as giving us all the directions and advice possible. Everything was made so easy!! Would highly recommend them!!

                          Perfect location, lovely view

                          5 of 5
I stayed two weeks in this apartment and loved it. The view out the patio was one reason I booked this flat and it was well worth it. You can watch the sunset and the lights on nearby cathedrals come on while relaxing in the overstuffed chair. Near the end of my stay the weather was warm enough to enjoy some time out on the patio. The other main reason I selected this flat is for the location, and that was outstanding, too. Literally twenty steps from the outside door you are on a wonderful street lined with restaurants, bars, bookshops, a gelato shop, everything you could want. I really enjoyed walking along it in the evening when it was all lit up. The apartment stayed surprisingly quiet given that it was so close to all these businesses. If you walk a block away, you get to a taxi stand where you can always find a taxi waiting (unless there's a strike!). A block a slightly different direction and you are in Piazza Navona where you can have lots of free space to stroll both day and night, enjoy the fountains, go inside the beautiful church, and eat at one of the outdoor cafes. Go a couple blocks south and you will find Campo di Fiori, a fun outdoor market open every day with fresh produce, hats, scarves, handbags, spices, cheese, olive oil, souvenirs. There are also restaurants, bakeries, and offshoot streets with shopping. Alex made it easy for me to check in and out of the flat, and everything was clean and as advertised. I was able to keep the place at a comfortable temperature for myself with the wall unit in the bedroom and the space heater downstairs. I was very happy to see a Nespresso machine there, and immediately visited the Nespresso shop near the Spanish Steps to buy coffee pods. The only additional thing I wished the flat had was a microwave oven for reheating things. The kitchen is very small but I still managed to do a fair amount of cooking. This is a great place for able adults. It is not appropriate for children (too many places they can easily fall and hit their heads) or for people with mobility issues (stairs to kitchen, bedroom/bathroom). For me, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable - very hard. I think others would find them just fine. It is an easy walk to the Vatican, the Trastevere area, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum. Also, I took a pasta making class that was very fun and was only a block away from the flat. Summary: Wonderful location, gorgeous view!

This property worked well for us

                          5 of 5
I just spent a later February/early March week in this apartment and it really worked well for my group. We were 6 adults and a one and a three year old. The four bedrooms was perfect. Jennifer was very responsive in our lead up to arrival and even went so far as to check in with us after we had been there a day. The pros are that the apartment is clean, is very large, has everything you need and is walking distance from most of the sights. Could not be better for a family group or a number of couples. The kitchen has most everything you would need. Microwave, stove, refrigerator plates, pans and dishes. It is a vary old building so do not expect the sort of water pressure you might get at a fancy hotel but the hot water does come on. I do want to inform you about the layout. This is not to complain but rather to explain. You enter this apartment into an entry room. To your left is the living room which is huge and has lots of seating. It overlooks the street. Off the living room is the bedroom that shows up in the ads. Adjacent to that room is the bedroom with the two single beds. This worked well for the parents and the two children. Here is the problem: The three bathrooms are at the other end of the apartment so for the occupants of these two bedrooms it is a long trek to the facilities. Going back to the entry room, to the right is the dining room. On the other side of that is a hallway that has the kitchen to the left and then the first bathroom. The hall turns to the right and there is the nest bedroom. After that there is a bedroom with en suite bathroom. Finally, you still have a way to go to get to the final bathroom. It really is a long way. Again, this is not meant as a complaint but it would be good for you to know before you arrive. Other things: beautiful parquet floors, extremely high ceilings, thick walls, nice furniture and decorations, no street noise at all. I can't say anything about air conditioning as we were there in February but no problem with heat. We all really enjoyed this apartment. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Wonderful streets and alleys to wander through. And it is Rome.
