We loved the location of this apartment in Rome. Our welcome was very friendly by owner Clara, who showed us around the small, but comfortable apartment. It was very well stocked in the kitchen with all the cooking and cleaning utensils and tools we needed. We were even offered food, bottled water and Italian liquors.
The bathroom was spacious and clean and included a washer/dryer machine for doing our laundry - essential after a couple weeks on the road. Wireless worked effortlessly as did the TV. Lots of books around about Rome and its surrounding to entertain and inspire us while we rested our tired feet.
Even though you are staying one block off Cavour, and literally down the street from the forum, once you close the front windows at night the apartment is virtually silent. It was heaven after the loud, raucus and crazy days hiking around the city.
Plenty of great restaurants, bars and cafes - and don't forget the great gelato! - within walking distance. varying prices, so you'll never go hungry at any price level.
All and all, we loved this apartment and its location. Just perfect for our small group of 3.
---> One thing you should know about the apartment: This is an OLD building and the ceilings are VERY LOW. we were three guys who were all over 6 feet tall. We all were constantly banging our heads on the lovely, but low, wood beams that go through the apartment. So if you are tall, be aware and look out!
