                Recent Camaiore Reviews

Lots of charm high in the hills above Camaiore.

                4 of 5
We loved the views and country feel of this old stone home with all the modern amenities needed. Everything is just as it appears in the photos. The house is half of a duplex but the neighbours were only there on one day while we were there and the yard and pool are private to the rental. North American visitors need to be comfortable with European style driving on narrow steep roads to access the property. Once there, it offers great hiking with many great country restaurants in the area but we had lots of fun making our own dinners in the pizza oven!! The owner and his family are very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The were some minor maintenance issues related to the upkeep of an old house in the country but the owner was very responsive. Thanks again!!

                Amazing Villa!

                5 of 5
My family stayed in this beautiful Villa for one week in June. My husband, two young boys, my mom and her friend, my best friend and myself all stayed here together and everyone had a wonderful time. With 5 bedrooms, everyone had their own room and bathroom. My two young boys loved sleeping up the attic room and also were kept busy for hours in the pool. There are beautiful hikes to hilltop villages through the forests that you can go to right from the villa. The villa itself is on top of a hill in a tiny town which has two restaurants, a church and a little furniture shop. By car there are several interesting towns and cities to go to within one hours drive including Pisa, Luca, and Camaiore. The kitchen is wonderful - we enjoyed cooking in it so much that we prepared most of our meals there and ate under the grapevines at the big outdoor dining table. Our son honed his barista skills with the cappuccino maker and made a little money while he was at it, delivering cappuccinos to our rooms. (There are room service buttons that ring the kitchen from each bedroom - a fun surprise the boys discovered). The villa has a lovely garden room, a huge dining room, a living room and several outdoor spaces to sit and relax. The owner, Francesca makes wine on the villa property as well as the most delicious olive oil I have ever had, and several varieties of honey. I don't think I can ever enjoy olive oil again in the US now that I have tasted hers. She is a wonderful hostess and makes the stay at her gorgeous villa special for everyone.

                a rare find

                5 of 5
Highly reccommend this property, from the inside out, this farmhouse and property was masterfully rennovated with artisans of all trades and is beautifully maintained. Beautuful marble bathrooms, with top of the line fixtures and appliances. The owners who are close by are there to meet your needs or to assist you when you are in need of anything. The location is secluded with great views of the valley and sea. Additioanlly it is central to many day trips, from Florence to Chinqua Terra. All this made for a great family vacation, in a great part of Italy.
