Outstanding property, as described and more

        5 of 5
This large, ambling farmhouse far exceeded our expectations as a site for our family gathering. Views from this property are superb, fine pool, large, well-stocked kitchen, country roads for long walks, San Damiano has good shopping, a fine bike shop for rentals (Cicli Giorgio), and at least a couple of decent restaurants (ask Mart for tips). Further afield is Barolo and Barbaresco, with Roero right next door. This is a very personal rental experience. The family was helpful at every turn. The Pizza oven is first rate, big enough for 2-3 pizzas at once, given some skill with the peel. Plenty of firewood available (firewood gathering seems to be an important part of the local culture). I would love to visit again, having the chance to sample what this area (and house) has to offer.

Absolutely Magnificent Home in a Wonderful setting

        5 of 5
Having never been to this part of Italy we were overwhelmed with how fortunate we felt to be able to stay in this home in this beautiful town. The first and possibly most important fact is how accommodating and responsive the Owner Luis is. The family that helps Luis manage the home are two of the most wonderful and helpful people you will ever meet. The home itself is fantastic. We had 6 people ranging in age from 15 to 75 and we took great advantage of the wonderful kitchen...spacious bedrooms..and immaculate bathrooms and family rooms. No picture can truly capture the views from the wonderful outdoor deck...when the skies are clear the view of the Mountains combined with the picturesque Hilltop cities honestly take your breath away. In two short weeks we felt as though we became part of Italy and this wonderful small town of Tonco became part of our families soul. It is an easy drive from the Torino airport and near more good food and Wine and small markets than you can believe. It is a wonderful home that will leave its impression deep in your mind and heart. Thank you Luis and Nadia and Armando...Grazie Mille....Brian and Kim Rath and Family..
