Recent Assisi Reviews

a traveller to Umbria

5 of 5
spent 5 nights in this lovely loft, a perfect place for a couple to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Assisi' the building dates to the 14th century and has been restored with natural stone and exposed beams. you will feel like medieval royalty, except with hot water, a well stocked kitchen and wifi. we used this location to visit other towns in Umbria and a vineyard or two. also, the location is a few steps from the town center, PIazza delle Commune, but the Via Tiberio is stone staircase and the adjoining "streets" are narrow sidewalks not accessible to cars. this makes for a very quiet evening.

Exquisite Apartment in Perugia Centro

5 of 5
We spent 6 nights in this beautiful apartment in the heart of historic Perugia. Decorated beautifully, the rooms are just as pictured on VRBO. We were 4 adults here for 6 nights and we hated leaving. Fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, satellite TV, washer/dryer, and comfortable, if somewhat firm, beds. We were met by Claudia, friend of the owner Giuliana, who helped us to the apartment and parking nearby. Very comfortable, clean, spacious, close to shopping, restaurants and historic sights, we felt at home almost immediately. We had trouble with the WiFi the first night and it was fixed that evening. The apartment is located just off Piazza IV Novembre on a quiet street. We enjoyed walking the streets of this historic city and visiting the Rocca Paolina, Tempio di Sant'Angelo, Cathedral of San Pietro, and shopping on Corso Vannucci. We happened to be visiting during the All Saints' Day holiday weekend and the outdoor market on Tuesday that week was wonderful, with stalls of food, wine and handmade goods from all over the area. Using Perugia as our base, we visited Assisi, Cortona, Deruta, Torgiano, Bevegna, and Montepulciano. Central Italy is so beautiful and not to be missed. We highly recommend staying in this exquisite apartment. Thank you, Giuliana, Rita and Claudia, for assisting us and providing us with so many wonderful memories of our visit to Umbria. Grazie mille! Spero di rivedervi presto! Jane and Gerry Parker, Barbara and Ed Cocci
