                        Nesting Spot in Positano

                        5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at La Limonella the last week in June. It was the 3rd week of our Italian vacation celebrating our 35th Wedding anniversary. Our first time in Italy so we chose this spot due to the location to have a somewhat quieter and relaxing last week after 2 weeks trekking through most of the touristy spots. We arrived later Sunday afternoon and we were greeted by one of the family members, and he helped us with our baggage and made us feel right at home. The view and location were simply awesome. Better than the pictures on this sight. The room was a bit musty so we opened everything up and got some air moving. After a couple days of this, it was much better. The shower ceiling could use some cleaning up as well but everything else was fine. We spent most of the time on the terrace anyway as well as an upper terrace right above us providing even better views. We went to the La Tagliata for dinner that night, and we sat right in the front overlooking the hillside and sea. We were brought the first course and by then had struck up a conversation with people from Toronto (we are from Iowa/USA), and they warned us this first course was just the beginning. I could go on about the food, and the breakfasts we were served daily by the family, but suffice to say, it was delicious, fresh, and the service was great. There were 3 wedding receptions while we were there, so you just had to roll with these events going on right outside our room. The first was fine and fun to listen to, the music, etc, but the 2nd and 3rd ones in a 6 night stay got to be a bit noisy. We got used to taking the local buses that stopped nearby the La Tagliata, and never drove the car once. If you like to hike it was a good workout to walk down to the beach, or just up and around the area. We received everything as promised except the cooking class my wife was looking forward to. It was summer, and with school out, Georgia simply told us she was too busy with family to do this. This was one dream that did not get fulfilled while there for my wife, and although very disappointed, you cannot fault the reason for not doing this. It should have been communicated though ahead of time so She could have made alternate plans for a class. Anyway, the location was awesome, the food so fresh and delicious, and the weather was great. Even when it rained or stormed, it was beautiful. Take time to wander about to see all the lovely gardens and interesting animals they have. Awesome experience!

                        Relaxing Home Away From Home

                        5 of 5
This was our first time traveling to the Amalfi coast area and this was a perfect place to stay. My husband and I has such a wonderful, relaxing time here. It is most definitely away from the hustle and bustle of the other big cities such as Amalfi and Positano, however very accessible to the other cities. I would highly recommend renting a car if you are going to stay here. While there are bus stops available, it is a little bit of a walk on very narrow streets with no sidewalks. My husband and I were going to just try to walk and take the bus since we enjoy the walking and hiking aspect of Italy, however after reconsidering things, we rented a car and are very happy for our decision. There is plenty of parking here and was never an issue. Being a small town, there is a grocery store, bank, tabbachi shop, and a restaurant. The grocery store was small but had everything you needed. This is also where the main bus stop is located. Guido was an excellent host. He was always available either on the property or by phone and was very helpful. His property is very large and a great place to explore. We walked around his garden and explored both on our own and then again with Guido. It was nice to have fresh fruit and vegetables available whenever needed/wanted. His home made wine was also excellent and helped relax us on our first night at the place. The apartment is also very quiet - away from the larger city noise and population. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The balcony was nice to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine and look over the cliff to see the other cities on either side of the apartment. We could access this from our room, however the main area was also open to enjoy a beverage or dessert. Guido was very accommodating, helpful, polite, and overall a wonderful host. We have discussed coming back to this area again on vacation, hopefully sooner than later, and will most definitely look up Guido.

Lovely B&B, spectacular location, amazing staff and hosts

                        5 of 5
We had the most amazing stay in early July, 2016. The property has a spectacular view, beautiful welcoming garden as you walk in. The staff (Antonio, Lena) and hosts (Maria and Giancarlo) are absolutely lovely, and welcome you right away. They are very helpful with parking and welcome you with refreshments and smiles. We had two rooms- one for 2 adults and the other for our kids. They were spotless, comfortable and very nice accommodations. The great breakfast every morning (with homemade baked lemon treats, fresh local fruit, preserves) was enjoyed in the garden, then Antonio would take us to our excursions or into Amalfi so that we would not have to navigate the roads or find parking. Antonio is a wealth of information and really helped make our trip great! We would recommend the hotel to anyone and know you would enjoy your stay-- we hope to be back!
