                      Great house, great location

                      5 of 5
We were a family with 4 small kids and 4 adults and the space inside this home was perfect. The kids all slept on the top floor in the large bedroom with a full/queen bed and 2 twins. The adults slept in the 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The living room had plenty of sitting/lounge space and the kitchen and dining room comfortably had space and seats for all of us. The house is nicely furnished, clean, and well-appointed. While we never met Carmen in person, she left clear notes for us in the house and was very responsive to any questions we had via the HomeAway app. The location of the house couldn't be better with easy walks (3-5 min) to Kinsale center, grocery, bars, restaurants, and the promenade along the water. It was also an easy 30 min drive to Cork, 15 min to Old Head and the beautiful beaches there, and 45 min to Midleton and the Jameson Experience. We had a wonderful stay and will try to stay here again the next time we visit. The only 2 slight issues we had were with parking as a neighbor kept parking in our spot in front of the home and street parking could be difficult to find at times. I would also agree with the earlier reviewer's comment that shades or blinds would be nice in the front bedrooms because the street light shines into the rooms at night and the curtains are not thick or dark enough to block it out.

                      Fantastic place in central location!

Our family of six rented this incredible apartment over Christmas week. The layout of the place is quirky and unique. The boys were very comfortable in the 4th floor bedroom off the "mudroom" and full bath. A few stairs led to the common area and galley kitchen where there is an abundance of sitting area as well as a dining table for six. The large room has a huge number of windows overlooking the River Liffey and facing the O'Connell bridge. The two spiral staircases up to the next levels are whimsical as is a "tower" room that can be made up as a sofa bed. The second bedroom again is of amble size with a full bathroom. The third bedroom, although a bit small is perfectly adequate and very private. The location is perfect - a short walk to Trinity College, Grafton Street and St. Stephens Square to the south and across the bridge to the north and the General Post Office (site of the 1916 uprising) and the Abbey Theatre. There is a grocery store just down the street and numerous great pubs with good food. The apartment is also conveniently located just up the street from the Westin Hotel which made it easy to get taxis. Management is very responsive with questions and it was also easy to arrange for an airport pickup and drop off.

How lucky to find our home away from home!

                      5 of 5
Stoneybrough was as advertised and more! A luxury Kenmare residence - check. Gracious townhouse - both the residence, Stoneybrough and John, your host - so check. Well-situated - I can't imagine a more perfect location in the lovely town of Kenmare, double check. Well-appointed - if I get started, I won't be able to stop. Rest assured, you will lack nothing as Stoneybrough provides all the convenience of home and more. And the housekeeper is a phone call away should there be a need. Keep checking the boxes. Serene - the River Finnehy is your very own dream machine ensuring a sound sleep in comfortable beds. And sipping your coffee or tea on the balcony in the morning? A perfect way to start your day. The location in SW Ireland allows for wonderful day trips and Kenmare? I am disappointed only in the fact that I didn't get to enjoy more of the fantastic restaurants and shops - a perfect stop on your visit to Ireland. This place checks all the boxes. If only I could I'd give Stoneybrough a ten star rating.
