      Excellent

My husband, myself, my son, his wife and my one year old grand-daughter stayed here for a week and found it to be everything that was advertised. It was clean, modernized, and very comfortable. It was right beside the water and was only 2 blocks from the downtown of Cahirciveen where there was a lot of shops and pubs. We were very close to St. Valentina Island and Skellig Rock. We were also on the ring of Kerry. John's neighbour met us when we a arrived and let us in and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. She was always available if we had questions and went far and above to help us out while giving us our space. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to explore the southwest part of Ireland. Wonderful home in a gem of a town

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at John Stonebaker's home in the picture-perfect town of Kenmare. The house was beautifully appointed and Joanne was there to show us around and answer questions during our stay. As others have noted, well in advance of our arrival, John sent us a lot of helpful information about restaurants, pubs, day trips, etc. He was wonderful! There are many beautiful towns in Ireland but I honestly think Kenmare may rise to the top. It's a perfect location for day trips to Cork, Kinsale, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Penninsula but it's also fun to spend a day in town. We were there during the 2016 Euro Cup and had a chance to watch Ireland play France at the Atlantic Pub. We were surrounded by local fans--not tourists--except for the French couple who came in to cheer on France! On our first day there, we were encouraged to drop into O'Connors Pub mid-afternoon and had the very memorable experience of hearing an older man sing the most beautiful ballad unaccompanied! If we ever go back to Ireland, we will do our best to again stay at this wonderful home in a gem of a town!
