A Perfect Place to Stay near Ubud

        5 of 5
I stayed at this property for two weeks. My stay was a key part of a wonderful experience in Ubud The villa is located in a quiet, fascinating neighbourhood. You must walk to it, but the walk takes only a few minutes and enhances the stay. The villa itself is beautifully designed and appointed. It has a lovely garden and pool. Everything is maintained to the highest standard. Barbara and Henry live nearby and are the perfect hosts- very kind and attentive but not hovering. They are very knowledgeable about the restaurants and sites in the area and happy to share their knowledge. I was worried I might be bored staying in Ubud for so long but in the end I left before I had seen and done everything I wanted. Barbara and Henry provided a lovely housekeeper who came each morning to cook a terrific breakfast and clean. They also recommended a driver who proved to be a tremendous resource. There are many varied and excellent restaurants within walking distance. It would hard to imagine a better place to stay for a solo traveller, a couple or a couple with a child under twelve.
