                            The Perfect Relaxation Destination

                            5 of 5
We arrived at this luxurious property and were awe struck. The property is gorgeous-from the mature trees to all of the lush landscape. We were even lucky enough to vacation with 4 nests of albatros chicks. It was a daily thing for us to watch these majestic birds. The property is breathtaking, and your perfect picture of what you want vacation to be. A quick walk down the road in the morning led us to an honor system fruit stand...huge avocados! It is isolated and very quiet and secure (gated property). We had four couples and were each able to have our own suites (there was room for 2 more couples). We had privacy, but yet could be together for meals and conversation if we chose to. The home had more than all of the amenities we needed for our stay. We cooked most days on vacation, which was perfect. There was a grocery store just down the road so it made it easy for us. The kitchen had everything you would ever need to prepare a meal either a quick meal, or a sit down dinner. The decor in the suites were beach themed and set the perfect mood for vacation. We absolutely LOVED the gorgeous crystals that were placed in the home. The large amethyst stones in the dining room were stunning! The artwork throughout was also very "beach/vacation" themed. So fun! During the day it was fun to sit out on the meticulously landscaped backyard and watch the sunrise. The hot tub and unbelievable infinity pool were added benefits. THE INFINITY POOL CONNECTED TO THE HOT TUB IS AMAZING! The pool was a little cool (ocean side of the house) but so refreshing. I don't know where else you could would want to have a glass of wine or a beer on the edge of the pool and look out at the majestic Pacific and watch whales ( tons while we were there). There is even a telescope and several sets of binoculars that we never needed. If you are looking to walk to the beach, it is do-able from this property as well. There is a well maintained walkway from the house that leads you right to the beach. (private beach but it IS a hike down the hill but SOOO worth it!) We had a couple afternoons at the beach and it was perfect! If you are looking to eat out and shop, it is a hop skip and jump away from this property, which was nice. We also took a great helicopter tour that was only about 10 minutes away from here. If I had one complaint, it would be that we were not here long enough. We look forward to returning to this property the next time we visit Kauaii.

                            What a pleasure

After reviewing many properties on Kauai that would accommodate our two families we decided on this property. You always wonder if the reality will live up to the descriptions and reviews, and it's my pleasure to say that in this case it surely did. The house was in good condition, with plenty of rooms (more than enough space) for our group of 7. It was nice that we never felt crowded or right on top of each other. The rooms were nice and there were plenty of ceiling fans to help keep cool. The yard was as described, a regular fruit fest to be sure. That was one of the best oranges I can ever remember having! The avocados were amazing as well. They were huge and in no short supply (to the apparent pleasure of a local cat that I found eating an avocado one day.) The location is not only nicely located within a nice 5 minute walk to the lovely Moloaa Bay, it's also nicely located on the island. Close to Kilauea, Princeville and Kapaa, and not that far from Hanalei as well. Of course, on Kauai, you're not really that far from anyplace :) The road the house is on connects directly to the beach and gets very little traffic so walking to the beach is not a worry for kids. Also a bonus is the limited parking at the beach as it keeps the amount of people on the beach low. It's a lovely beach to walk on and there are sections that were quite good for swimming for even younger children. Some areas have rougher surf and more coral/rocks and are not suitable for swimming. We did some snorkeling here as well and saw many lovely fish and even an octopus. Both families really felt this house made the stay better than it would have been in any hotel or resort. Both my wife and I would have no reservations about staying here again.

                            Not just great. SPECTACULAR!

OMG!! Wow! and OMG again! That's what we kept saying from the moment we pulled on to the Botanical-Gardens-like half-mile "driveway". The vegetation and landscaping leading up to the house was just gorgeous and a wonderful prelude of what was to come. Mia Huna's views, furnishings and attention to detail were all extraordinary! We had high expectations for this home, based on previous reviews and the photos, but we were secretly prepared for something less. However, we were pleasantly pleased by how much this home (estate really) vastly exceeded our expectations. The views, from virtually every angle or window were breathtaking...and not just the ocean views, but the magnificently manicured grounds and beautiful surrounding mountains. I hope this doesn't sound like hyperbole, because it's not. This is truly an extraordinary and exceptional home. Even the beautiful pool was wonderful. Like everywhere else on the property, we had total privacy at the pool and swam several times a day in silky it's waters. Not sure what made the water so soothing, but it was incredible; like swimming in liquid satin. Before I run out of space or adjectives I do want to give huge credit to the owners for their attention to what their guests need. Everything we could imagine (other than a pony,) was provided for us...and in great condition. It was clean, neat and well-stocked, giving us an immediate "seductive island-breeze" experience. We not only look forward to coming back often in the future, but will recommend this fabulous home to many friends and anyone who wants a fantastic and memorable experience. OMG again!
