If you are wondering if this place is worth it, the short answer is: Yes! A cozy little spot off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Both sets of pools/hot tubs are walking distance, the lanai is spacious, the condo is clean. It's not brand new, but for our two young children, it was paradise. We were able to relax, knowing the spot had kids in mind. The amenities offered are really what made the condo so wonderful for us. I overpacked! Beach toys, rainy day toys, even the kids cups brought smiles.
Our only con was the lack of sound control. It's condo living and noise is to be expected, but we found it frustrating that there was no way to close the windows to close out sounds. The windows are wonderful for letting in the great cool breeze, but that was it. Even closed, it didn't do much for sound. The maintenance crew has a set up right behind the building and while they only operate during appropriate hours, it was loud enough at certain points that we couldn't speak to each other over lunch.
Everyone we met was warm and welcoming. From neighbors to condo staff to locals at the market down the road. Countryside Cafe was our breakfast favorite. The west side beaches are ALL fabulous. Tide pools, soft sand, places for young kids to play and places to watch people surf or fish. If you really wanted, you could stay on this side of the island your whole trip, but the beauty is that it's still worth the drive to explore every spot you're willing to go.
Communication could have been a little better. We didn't receive information on checking out until we had already left for the airport. Nonetheless, if you're wondering: I doubt you'll regret the stay! We didn't!
