My wife, daughter, and I, all, could not recommend this cottage more highly. Every morning we awakened to birds singing. The cottage is filled with light streaming in from all four directions; tell me you can find that in a hotel. The yard here is unbelievably beautiful and the path to the cottage is amazing. The walk to the beach is about a block but if that's too far you can drive to the parking lot and walk 50 steps to the beach. Kahala beach is beautiful, uncrowded, and one of the favorites of the locals. Drive west on Kahala Ave. for 5 minutes, you go right past Diamond Head, and another 5 minutes and you are in the heart of Wikiki. From the cottage it was only about 20 minutes to Manoa falls. Go north half a mile to H1 and you can go east or west and explore the whole island. We did that, 452 miles in six days! We loved every minute. The intermittent clouds hover over the lush green mountain tops and the waves breaking along the turquoise and blue shore make for vistas we will never forget.
I really enjoyed talking with the owner, Ryne. He was very considerate, helpful and pleasant to work with.
Should we ever go back to Oahu, this is where we would stay.
