              An Evening in Paradise

              5 of 5
This property is phenomenal! Sandi runs a well appointed vacation cottage about as close to Hamoa Beach as you can get! The location, layout and amenities here were top notch and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. The property was spotless upon check-in and Sandi greeted us with a warm smile ready to help in any way. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night! (It was a bit pricey fro our budget!) I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to take the slow road to Hana and really enjoy all this area has to offer instead of scurrying back down to town. There were several places to eat in the area (do so sooner than later, places close early), and several natural places to explore (black sand beach, seven pools, Hamos Beach, just to name a few). We enjoyed just relaxing, sitting on the patio, taking walks, and listening to the waves all night. We were even lucky enough to have a down pour that night, and with all the windows open, slept like babies! GREAT PROPERTY!

A Beautiful Forest Hideaway Overlooking the Ocean

              4 of 5
Hana's Heaven is a quaint house off the beaten path in Hana. The first thing we noticed was the rough terrain of the one-lane road we took to get there; during a heavy rain it may be difficult to traverse. However it was a nice sunny day so no issues there. The place was beautiful with lots of live orchids and a wonderful view. Lots of outdoor seating was available but there are many mosquitoes around so we couldn't take advantage of it, but Hana is a tropical place so it is to be expected. There were also many geckos around, and we usually found a few crawling around on the floors. It was very warm in Maui when we stayed there, and the place did not have any type of fan: floor or ceiling. It was hard to be in there during the day because of this heat, but thankfully the bedroom we were in had enough windows to keep it just cool enough to sleep. I would recommend adding a couple floor fans if possible. One cool thing about the property is that it is environmentally sustainable; it is powered completely by solar, and the water is filtered rain water. Very cool!
