Georgeous Property, Superb Manager, Wonderful Vacation Spot

                    5 of 5
This is a stunningly beautiful property with great management. Kim patiently answered all my questions pre- and post-booking, helped with the stocking of the refrigerator prior to our arrival, and cheerfully arranged complimentary transportation from the airport--all of which I would recommend. Kim also recommended a local rental car agency that dropped a car at the villa the morning after our arrival. We, like most I guess due to flight scheduling, arrived after dark. When we arrived, we were met by Ursil, the very sweet housekeeper (and great cook too), who had lit the villa in anticipation of our arrival. You are expecting, from the pictures on VRBO, a beautiful home. Let me say, the pictures do not do it justice. It is absolutely stunning at night (and in the day too) with terra cotta tile throughout, rich mahogany trim, and a well equipped, modern kitchen. At your disposal you will find a Hobie Cat sailboat, 2 kayaks, and a small motorized dinghy. There are a few restaurants easily accessible by boat and we motored to lunch on several occasions. All great fun! Here is what concerned me prior to traveling, and what I experienced: 1) Driving on the left -- actually this was my biggest concern. Having never done this before (it should be on everyone's bucket-list) It took about a day of driving and then it was natural. The first day requires a lot of focus, but after that, no problem whatsoever. Yes you can do it too. By the way, you can spot the Americans because instead of using their turn-signals, they turn their windshield wipers on. I did it, you'll do it too.... 2) Mosquitos - yes there are a few. I'd say there are fewer than most places I have lived in the U.S. A little bit of OFF bug spray applied kept them away completely. 3) Reception of the local people -- one never knows how the locals will react to Americans. All I can say is that we were warmly received EVERYWHERE we went. The island has a reputation for hospitality and I have to say that I experienced that over and over again. Grenadians are warm, fun loving, generous people and we felt welcomed again and again. In the end, the things that concerned me prior to travel, were not the least bit troubling once I arrived. If you want a unique vacation in a beautiful spot with wonderful hosts, this is the place for you. We will always remember our trip to this beautiful island and the gorgeous villa where we stayed. We absolutely loved it there.

                    Kingfisher Estate

                    5 of 5
A group of four couples from Weatherby Lake MO, near Kansas City MO, USA enjoyed the Kingfisher Estate for 8 great days. The property was perfectly suited for us in that there were four very nice separate living units, each complete with a full bath or shower. The sleeping rooms were air conditioned. The common areas included a large kitchen and living room indoors and a covered dining area adjacent to a nice swimming pool. The property was modern, well equipped and well maintained. The management company reps were responsive, friendly and helpful. They arranged a driver for our group, Francis, who truly made the trip delightful. We were participating in the Grenada Yacht Week regatta so unfortunately did not have an opportunity to take full advantage of the property. The grounds were beautiful and the storage shed was stocked with all kinds of water toys we unfortunately did not have time to utilize. I highly recommend this property.

Spectacular views can your own very quiet beach

                    5 of 5
The Plusses: Wonderfully helpful owner - he sent us four pages of helpful information for the week we stayed Very quiet location on the coast with breezes flowing through the house all of the time Well maintained set of stairs down to a very quiet beach with some excellent snorkeling We actually walked to the airport to leave, so it is very convenient for flying in and out Full-time gardener and full-time made keep the place in immaculate shape - simply beautiful Minor negatives Could use an appliance upgrade– the refrigerator it Is very old and working overtime, for example Could use a little TLC on various latches and locks that are affected by the coastal weather All said - we do hope to return some day
