      Peaceful paradise above the sea

      5 of 5
We just spend one week in this cabin with our 6 year old son. This is an absolutely a peaceful and quiet, unique spot. The cabin is situated on private land, quite far away from the main house and another larger cabin. The road towards the house and cabin is very steep. This takes some getting used to. From the cabin there's a few steps until a steep abyss. I therefore wouldn't recommend this cabin with younger children which might be dangerous. With our son this was no problem. The beauty of this is the magnificent view you have from the cabin, the porch and even from your bed. It is really unique. The cabin itself is well designed and decorated. All the things you need are there. You can cook there. It is small but not too small. It is really clean. And also there was wine, fruit and homemade marmalade when we arrived. Great! The cabin had no air conditioning. This was hot in the morning because the sun shines on the cabin until 14 o'clock. The cabin has an open front side so the wind blows through it. This is very welcome, and it really cools the cabin down. But we had to use the provided fan during the nights and bought one extra for our son. With the fans it was comfortable in August. Going down on another very steep road, there's a private "beach". It is a rocky beach with entrance into the sea. At first we were disappointed but we discovered soon that it is a beautiful spot. We enjoyed ourselves a lot of hot afternoons there because of plent of shadow and beautiful fish in the sea. Bring your snorkeling gear!!! In the nearby town Tyros you will find plenty of shops and restaurants. From Tyros it is just over 1 hour drive to Nafplio and 2,5 hour drive to Monemvassia. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin. We would recommend it to anyone who loves peace, quiet and nature and doesn't have children younger than 6 year old.
