Our hosts were very wonderful. Our flight was delayed for two hours but when we walked out there he was waiting for us with a smile. They were available for anything we wanted during our stay. We were quite sad to leave and would have stayed longer but all their rooms were fully booked.
It was a very special place to stay in an authentic cave home. It had three terraces and a gorgeous sunset view. We loved the little village of Finiki with its wandering alleys and varied façades. We tried all three restaurants (Santorini Mou, Kranaki taverna, MezeMeze) that were close by and had tremendous food at each one. We were able to walk down to the Signalas winery and even to Paradise Beach. Very conveniently located to buses and to walk into Oia. Honestly we are glad that we stayed here instead of trying to stay in Oia as it is so busy there. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen adequate. The room was very clean and inviting for our arrival. There was even jam and honey in the fridge which felt welcoming. When we wanted to extend our stay in Santorini Elena was helpful to find us another place to stay.
We felt there could not have been a better welcome on our first visit to this beautiful island.
The only negative was that the ceiling fan could not run at night as it was on the same switch as a light but as we were leaving we noticed there was a separate fan in the corner of the little alcove which we could have used. If we had asked our hosts they would have told Us so our fault really. Would highly recommend this memorable place.
