We arrived about 2 hours early and were promptly greeted by the property manager (Gary) who was very agreeable and thorough in presenting the property. He took me out on the lake with the boat to ensure I understood its operations and to locate the (very close) marina for refueling. The house was completely refurbished by Gary (who is a semi-retired contractor) in 2007 and it is absolutely perfect and very well maintained! Warm, cozy, well appointed with furniture and flat screen TV's, satellite service, internet, and surround sound system in the great room on the main level - not to mention over 300 movies on private media. The kitchen is very functional, and well stocked, with easy to clean granite countertops. The bedrooms are very well appointed, and more importantly, the beds are very comfortable! My octogenarian parents stated that they had not slept so well in years...but that may also be attributed to the nightly serenade of the locust and the very calm atmosphere of the North end of the lake, along with a little Bordeaux at dinner... The secluded and independent bedroom/kitchen on the 1st floor overlooks the main deck with hot tub (which was used daily...) and my wife and i loved the decor, the bathroom is spacious and the shower is simply great - while the privacy and seclusion condones romantic evenings with the proximity of a small, but very functional kitchen, allowing us those delectable midnight snacks and and cold bubbly from the fridge...We were eight total - 3 children (teenagers) and 5 adults, enjoying a rare family gathering. All had great fun and the week went way too fast - we are definitely coming back...but for two weeks next visit! I highly recommend the house, the boat, and the lake...best swimming and water temperature in years...and we lake every year in various parts of the US...now, we intend to make Lake Lanier our summer home...BTW - shopping at supermarket is 5 minutes away (including Starbucks for those of you who love good coffee and more....)....Book in confidence and enjoy!!
