My husband and I celebrated our 40 th wedding anniversary with a trip to Dinan in June, staying in this amazing apartment for a week. We wished it could have been a month! Jeremy and his wife were very helpful getting us settled and were available to answer any questions we had about the property or area. The accommodation was everything it promised and more. Parking was available outside on the street or very nearby. It was clean, peaceful, full of light, well equipped to cook when we wanted to eat in, and furnished comfortably to relax with a cup of tea or glass of wine while overlooking the wonderful, "pinch me it's too good to be true" view over the river Rance and Port of Dinan. By day or night, we never got enough of watching the river with it's ancient stone bridge and across to the steep, medieval, cobble stoned street Rue Jerzual and its charming restaurants and shops. Each morning we strolled across the bridge to the bakery "La maison de Tate Jean" for the best croissants we had in France, with a cafe "au lait", then sat on the bench outside and people watched! After a leisurely breakfast, we walked each day up that steep and picturesque street Jerzual to enjoy the many sights of the city above. There was so much to see and do in town, or a short drive away. We shopped the Market Thursday morning for great local produce with the locals then strolled the busy streets of beautifully preserved half timbered buildings. We walked the ramparts and shopped for local leather goods and other products of the Brittany region. We took a walk beside the river to the charming village of Lehon. We drove to majestic Mont St. Michel, visited historic the port town of Dinard, historic Chateaux Combourg and the gorgeous gardens of Villandry. Everyday was a joy and we would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you again, Jeremy and Julia! God willing, we will be back one day.
