A Gem in Old Nice

5 of 5
Vieux (Old) Nice is where the happenings are, if you want to visit and enjoy Nice. And, this apartment, is one of 8 only, that has elevators, for a rental! It's location is the BEST, and the apt is the BEST, too! Apartment - 3-bedroom and sofa bed - great for a family or friends of 8, though, there's only 1 bathroom, a samll kitchen, but, it was very clean, has comfortable beds, love the whiteness and coziness of the place - felt more like home than an apt. Location - it's in the heart of Old Nice. Tram and bus stops are just across from the apt - Cathedral Veille Ville stop. To the left of the apt downhill are restaurants, shops, and 10-minute walk is Cours Saleya - a farmer's market by morning, but, restaurants teeming with people at night, with souvenir shops interlaced. Water is just a 2-minute walk from Cours Saleya. Restaurants - for Crepes - the best is Le Trimaran - from the apt, make a right on the main road, then right on the next street wherre 2 boulangeries face each other. At the dead end is Le Trimaran and open only from 12-3 - the crepes and owners are simply fabulous. Best cider in France! Make sure you order it with your crepe. Oliviera - ohh la la - see my review in Trip Advisor - best dining experience you'll ever have. Reservation is a must - as in France, they take their time eating - so, 7 pm reservation means you'll be there until closing at 10:30! Nothing like his food and those wonderful different olive oils for each food, even the tiramisu had its own olive oil and it was heavenly! Nadim - missing your food, sir! Landlords - Marion and Lene - you two are awesome! Thank you for making our 1st wk of our 3-wk trip so fabulous - we got spoiled - from your fabulous serrvice, cozy home apt, and fabulous wi-fi - thank you for spoiling us and making our vacation a very memorable one indeed and am certainly looking forward to my next stay there, next time I am or friends are in Nice.
